I am most thankful for all of the students that i got to teach this month. I am thankful for them making this month one of the most interesting and pleasant experiences i have ever had related to school. I am also really thankful for Ms. Cyndie who was able to integrate me into her classroom almost seamlessly. She made my experience at my internship what is was, i think if i had a different teacher then the experience i had would have not been as awarding.

I think that everyone in my classroom is benefiting from the work that i am doing. The student because i am teaching them how to better their technological knowledge. Also i am teaching them how to research, which is a skill that is completely necessary in life. I am benefiting my mentor because she is learning how to use the tools that she has, also i am giving her a lesson that could teach future students how to research and use PowerPoint.

I am thankful for the relationship that i have with my mentor, we share a very laid back, easygoing relationship. This has made my internship that much more enjoyable, also i am thankful that i could come back to my old elementary school. It has been amazing being able to see my old teachers, seeing how they have changed and seeing what they think of me now. It has been a completely one of a kind experience being here and i am very glad that i could see it happen.

A skill that i haven't devolved, which is inhibiting me from doing my project as well as i could be is, crowd control. I have never had been put in the situation where i need to command the attention of 24 screaming children. It has been very tough trying to adapt to the new situation i was thrown into. This has been slowing down my project because, for me to do my project correctly i have to be able to give directions that are clear and easy to figure out to all of these screaming children. Also i have to be able to handle 2 or 3 kids shooting questions at me, at any given moment.

This internship has been great for me career wise, i have decided that i never want to become a teacher, ever. I could not handle dealing with the same screaming children for an entire year. Also i don't think i could deal with having 40 or 50 high school students either, they are even worse then fourth graders. I had considered becoming a teacher before this internship but now there is no chance of me becoming a teacher.

One thing that i am excited about for internship is being on the other side of the learning process. I have never had the chance to be a teacher and now i am getting it. It will be very interesting to see what it is like to be a teacher, it will be nice to see what really goes on behind the scenes. I'm nervous about trying to be able to control a room of 30 screaming 8 year olds. I haven't been in a room with that many in a while and i hope it doesn't overwhelm me.
The culture at my school is very nice, between the students and the teachers it is respectful and very controlled, but it is very relaxed between the teachers and other interns. They are all very friendly people that are very open to having nice conversations with the lowly intern.
